The Park Training Institute (PTI) was developed in 1997 to address the specific training needs of park professionals. PTI provides a wide variety of professional training and certifications for park professionals. In addition to extensive experience in the Park profession, PTI instructors are approved by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, the California State Fire Marshall, American Red Cross, and the National Association for Interpretation.

Courses offered through the Park Training Institute are applicable and open to all public service personnel interested in law enforcement, natural resource interpretation, park stewardship, facilities management, emergency medical training, firefighting, rescue services, and more. Additionally, many courses are eligible for college credit in association with local community college districts. Courses can be customized to meet your individual or agency needs and objectives.
